Day 2 Kochi – Munnar : By Road 135 kms. 4-5 hours approx.

After having delicious breakfast at the hotel, check-out. Today first half explore famous attractions of Kochi visiting, Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663, it is also known as the Dutch Palace. It houses beautiful murals of Kerala depicting scenes from Hindu epics, such as Ramayana and Mahabharata St Francis Church, was constructed by the Portuguese. and has great historical significance. After having breakfast at the hotel, check-out and drive to picturesque destination Thekkady home to the famous Periyar National Park. Thekkady offers a combination of culture, nature and wildlife, enroute, you get to see Spice Plantation. On arrival check-in at the hotel. After some relax at the hotel, walk on the street on Thekkady. Enjoy boat ride on Pseriyar Lake, where you can spot various species of animals like elephants, tigers, deer, and birds. Visit Elephant junction at Thekkedy where you can interact with retired Elephants through feeding, bathing and photo sessions and can opt for elephant ride. Spice Plantation Tour of Thekkedy, here you get to know about different spices and their cultivation process. After pleasant breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed to Kumarakom another beautiful place in Kerala where captivating backwater terminus is waiting for you. On arrival check-in at hotel/Resort. After some relax at hotel / Resort. Visit Kumarakom covering Kumarakom Bird sanctuary, Vemband Lake etc. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuar spot various birds as well as tortoises and fishes like the famous pearl spot. The tower offers a nice view and is probably the best spot for birdwatching in the sanctuary. Spend some time at tranquile Vemband Lake. If time permit visit Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple and Kumarakom Beach Later drive back to Hotel in Kumarkom for overnight stay.
